Cartoon Network Plans Christmas Special Shows This Year

Cartoon Network is ringing in the festive season with a blast. With several new shows lined up for December, Cartoon Network is the place to look out for. Keeping in mind the temperament of the young children, Cartoon Network has decided to make things a little more magical in their shows.

  • Old Classics

Tom and Jerry

Some classics will also be aired and it’ll definitely be a wonderful joy ride down the memory lane. Cartoons which will be aired under this category are Tom and Jerry: A Nutcracker Tale and Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

  • Cartoon Network dishes out new shows and old for 2012

Cartoons like the Regular Show, the Annoying Orange, MAD, the Looney Tunes Show, and the Amazing World of Gumball are ready with new exciting episodes. Starting on 3rd December onwards there is a lot of new Christmas themed episodes decked up for the holiday season.


a) MAD – Christmas special – Santa Joins the FBI!

The four kids are planning for a nice, quiet family holiday but are faced with new super villains. The twist in the story is set out to be the point where Santa is imprisoned and then taken out of jail and goes on to join the FBI.

b) The Looney Tunes Show: Christmas bonanza

Lola takes upon her own version of “Christmas Carol” this time where she is trying to make Christmas a special time for the town fold. Foghorn and Daffy then travel to the North Pole. They make a giant fan to blow down cold air over the town. New tunes like Christmas rules are the new additions in the show which make the whole affair a very festive one.

c) Annoying Orange Christmas Carol Show

The Annoying Orange takes upon the Christmas carol theme in a new way. As funny as he is, the Annoying Orange waits for a visit from the ghosts of Christmas in a hysterical new show.

d) The Amazing World of Gumball

With everyone decking up for Christmas, the characters of this show also start getting ready for a wintery festive time. But the Watterson gang tries to ruin the Christmas this year and it’s up to the heroes to save the day.

e) Christmas Special in the Regular Show


In the regular show, this Christmas, Mordecai and Rigby have been given the responsibility to save Christmas but they have a big decision to make- they have to destroy a gift from santa himself. Santa’s voice over is given by Ed Asner the Emmy Award winner. The voice of the Evil Elf is given by Thomas Haden Church, the Academy Award winner.
